Our accessibility commitment

Rental Property Lab is committed to making its website accessible to as many readers as possible, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard referenced by accessibility laws in many jurisdictions. Accessibility is part of how we build and maintain the site, not an afterthought.

What we do

We take the following measures to support accessibility:

• Semantic HTML: pages use proper heading order, landmarks, and list semantics so screen readers can navigate them.
• Keyboard accessibility: all interactive elements, including forms, menus, and calculators, can be operated with a keyboard, with visible focus states.
• ARIA labels: icons and controls that are not self-labeling carry aria-label or aria-labelledby attributes.
• Color contrast: text and controls are designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios against the brand palette.
• Touch targets: primary buttons and links meet minimum touch-target sizes on mobile devices.
• Image alt text: meaningful images include descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked as presentational.
• Responsive design: pages reflow for mobile, tablet, and desktop without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

While we work to maintain accessibility, some third-party content, such as advertising served by external networks, may not fully conform to our standards because we do not control its markup. We also periodically review older content for accessibility as part of our update cycle. If you encounter a specific barrier, please tell us so we can address it.

Reporting an accessibility issue

If you experience difficulty accessing any part of Rental Property Lab, or if you have a suggestion for improvement, please contact us through the contact form. Include the page URL and a description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and to address verifiable issues in a subsequent update.

Compatibility with assistive technology

We test the site with common browser and screen-reader combinations. Because the calculators run entirely in the browser and use standard form controls, they are operable with assistive technology and do not require a mouse. If a specific tool does not work well with a page, let us know and we will investigate.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is an ongoing responsibility. We review the site as part of our Content Update Policy and incorporate accessibility checks into new pages and features. This statement will be updated as our practices evolve.
